The Complete Health Benefits of this Versatile Essential Oil!
Rosemary oil is without a doubt one of the most popular and widely known essential oils and it has a variety of holistic uses for those who are keen to learn more about aromatherapy in general. Rosemary oil is renowned for its ability to increase mental activity in those who use it but it is also recommended to help relieve any respiratory problems and to ease pain. Rosemary oil is used in a variety of current medicinal preparations but its qualities can also be accessed for self-help purposes at home.

Rosemary oil is one of the most easily sourced essential oils and can be found in many retail outlets but can also be sourced from a multitude of online shops but always ensure that the oil is of the highest quality as there are cheaper less high quality oils in the market place.

As well as being used on its own, Rosemary oil can be mixed with other essential oils but always check for contra-indications before using as there can be negative aspects with this oil as with all others. It should not be used in pregnancy for example or for nursing mothers.

Rosemary oil can be used successfully in the following ways:

- It is ideal to use as a stimulant for the brain and is great for those who may be suffering from depression or stress. It is often recommended for use with students who may be sitting exams as it increases focus and concentration. Inhaling the oil can alleviate boredom and recharge mental stimulation.

- The oil can be used in massage as a way of combating pain in sore muscles, for rheumatism or even for those with arthritis.

- Respiratory problems respond well to this oil and just the scent of the oil can provide great relief from any congestion in the throat. But also in infections of the respiratory tract too.

There are many different ways the oil can be used or already has been added to ready-made 'over the counter' medicines or applications such as hair care products, Skin care and even in mouth wash. Or it can just be used for its somewhat mesmerising effect when used as a room freshener at home. Because it can be quite volatile in nature and could cause allergic reactions, it should never be consumer orally.

As an addition to a home first aid-kit however, it should be high on the list of must-haves and many will be surprised by just how much Rosemary oil can be used around the home.
