Rc Powered Vehicles
RC powered vehicles are basic scaled versions of vehicles such as RC Plane, RC Boat, RC Cars and RC Helicopter, which are controlled by a radio system. This radio system is basically a combination of a transmitter and a receiver, as well as the speed controllers and other units which control the RC powered vehicle. But the main component is the servo, which is basically an electric motor which is attached to the servo arm of the vehicle. This component is what makes the wheels turn, or makes the plane wings flap up or down. Technicality aside, RC Powered vehicles are a great way to actually witness your favorite jet or RC Monster Trucks in action, right in your backyard.
Most RC powered vehicles run on either electricity, or are gas or nitro methane powered. Electricity powered RC models were invented quite recently as compared to the gas powered versions. Earlier attempts to make electricity powered RC models were not very successful. The main reason behind this was the big and heavy batteries used in them. These batteries not only made the RC models extremely bulky, but they also didn?t last long and needed to be changed frequently.
As a result, the gas fueled powered RC vehicles became extremely popular among enthusiasts. Fuel powered RC planes not only give good speed and performance but they are also much lighter as compared to the earlier battery powered models. But these models are very difficult to maintain, as they have an actual internal combustions engine in them and thus, need maintenance and repair just like any other vehicle. Fuel powered RC models also need a lot of practice before you can properly handle them. But soon lithium batteries made a big entrance and have now changed the face of RC powered vehicles. Light and durable these vehicles are easy to handle and maintain.
Before you decide on a vehicle for yourself, understand that you can either buy an RC powered pre-constructed vehicle, RTF Models, or RC Kits, which require you to construct the vehicle model first before you can use it. Pick a vehicle category you like, and then read up on it. After you are sure about your options, as well as your confidence with handling them, go get your dream RC powered vehicle.
