Once the nose of the model is correctly aligned with the direction that it was originally facing, it stops.
Therefore, the RC helicopter gyro of the heading hold type is the ideal kind of gyro for any RC helicopter model. However, this sort of functionality requires a fast tail rotor mechanism as well as a powerful battery supply. The servo is put under a lot of operational strain and thus consumes more power.
