Pam and Lee Ferber moved to Lesterville in 1983 from Des Moines, Iowa. In Des Moines, Lee had been a Professor of Art at Drake University and Pam was involved in early childhood education. The move to Lesterville also involved Doug and Bonnie Hendrickson. Doug was also a Professor at Drake and he and Bonnie established Peola Valley Forge at the same time the pottery was started....
