Remote controlled robots have come a long way. You can find robots that include a camera, LCD screen, one that has a built-in microphone with speakers and is also an MP3 player. You will love one of these rc robots as they will dance around for you. The robots will also show information that is on the Internet.

There are rc robots that you can build yourself. You can create the robot you have always wanted and feel accomplished in doing so. You can learn how to use your iPhone to control your homemade remote control car. By using your computer along with the iPhone and rc car you can make your own remote control car inexpensively. It will only take about two days to make one of these.

There are robots that are on one, two and four wheels. For instance, NASA's Robonaut is on two wheels. Robonaut goes up into space with the astronauts. Robonaut will work with the astronauts since it is able to use space tools as it has a lot of dexterity.

There is a robot named Ballbot which balances on a ball. There are no legs or wheels to make Ballbot stand in an upright position. Ballbot is about the height and weight, which is 95 pounds, of a human. This robot can squeeze into tight spaces.

NASA has another robot which is a Track Robot. This robot functions on tracks that roll. Urban Robot is the name of this robot.

Some people like the sport of robot fighting. You can find many different designs of robots that will fight each other. These fighting robots come in various sizes and shapes. The first type of fighting robot is the Battlebot. This robot takes on the shape of a pizza box. This type of robot does not look scary and it is pretty basic. People starting out with combat robots will usually buy one of these robots or a simple robot box. Each of these robots come with a drive train, a frame and a lot of armor. Although these robots are not sophisticated looking, they get the job done and win many times.

One can add weapons to their fighting robots. There are knives, hammers, chains, protruding rods, etc., that can be added to the fighting robot. These items should be added to more experienced robot fighters as it will take experience to learn how to use these items on the robot for maximum effectiveness.

There are many types of rc robots to choose from. You can give your teenager a rc robot that will excite him or her with an MP3 player. You can have fun with your child with a rc robot that the two of you build together. Enjoy spending quality time together while learning how to build a robot.
