How this Unique style of Yoga can Stretch and Tone with Minimal Impact!

Bikram Hot Yoga was developed in California by Bikram Choudhury. Bikram Hot yoga is a series of 26 postures and includes 2 set breathing techniques; all of the exercises are practiced in 40 ° as this high temperature can help the students to obtain an increased stretch whilst within the postures as the warmth relaxes the muscles.
There are many dedicated followers of Bikram Hot Yoga and classes tend to last approximately 90 minutes. Beginners to the study of yoga are also welcome but those who are not in the best of health or who are very inflexible may find this style a little too intense.

Whilst the temperature helps to keep the body warm and therefore increases flexibility, it also enables the body to sweat, therefore releasing toxins. The muscles, brain, lungs, heart, mental capacity and blood circulation are all affected when a student participates in this style of yoga.

Bikram Hot Yoga includes the following postures which are quite intensive:

1.    Standing Deep Breathing - Pranayama Series
